Squash, 4 days after planting. Many plants did not survive
                          the heavy rain last Friday.

                                                      Pepper plants are looking good!!!

                                                       Strawberry plants are doing well!

                                                         Half of our zucchini survived:(

Beautiful!!!! We will give the plants another week and
then replant the vegetables we lost, a week from Wednesday.

Day 2 of Planting

Pumpkins, watermelon, green peppers, carrots, beans and the rest of the corn were planted today. The weather was cooperative. The rain didn't start until later in the afternoon, plus we were spared the heavy winds and hail last night.
Miss McCall's class did an amazing job helping kids plant their fruits and vegetables! It was so much fun watching the kids interact and work together. We are so proud of them!!!
Take a look at the team work below.

Planting Begins!

Today was our first day of planting!!! It was a hot, hot day!!!
We planted strawberries, corn, tomatoes, squash, peas, zucchini and cucumbers.
Mrs. Carroccio's class were exceptional leaders and did an excellent job helping children plant!
A special thank you to Ms. Nugent for donating strawberry plants from her home garden and tomato cages, Mary and Dennis Truax (Price's Fruit Stand) for donating tomato and pepper plants and Lasnicki's Landscaping for supplying strawberry plants, vegetable plants and tomato cages.
We are hoping for fair weather tomorrow to finish our planting.
